Kymen jätelautakunnassa on valmisteltavana jätelain 78 §:n mukainen jätemaksutaksa 1.1.2025 alkaen Kymenlaakson Jäte Oy:n hallituksen esityksestä. Jätemaksutaksa koostuu perusteluosasta ja hinnat sisältävistä taksataulukoista. Taksaesitys koskee jätehuollon perusmaksua sekä jätteenkuljetustaksaa eli jäteastioiden tyhjennysmaksuja ja lisäveloituksia Haminan, Iitin, Kotkan, Kouvolan, Lapinjärven, Miehikkälän, Mäntyharjun (ml. nykyinen Pertunmaa), Pyhtään ja Virolahden kunnissa.
